Dan Killebrew AIA, NCARB

Community Market Practice Leader

Dan’s heart is in his community, and it’s a big community.  Dan leads design and planning work in the community health market across the state of Texas and all adjoining states.  Working with his partners, Dan strengthens the Community Health practice at FKP as it reaches out across the nation with design, planning, and consulting for major health systems.

Over his 33-year career, Dan has worked in-house with a major Texas system and with some of the most substantial health design firms in the region, including the Principal position he holds at FKP.  He has managed over $1.6 billion in projects and excels at facility master plans, renovations, and replacement facilities. Dan is a noted leader in regional circles, and an educator. His work in the academic environment has gone beyond “practitioner” into “educator” having taught the Healthcare Thesis Studio in the Graduate College of Architecture at Texas Tech University. His current assignments include leading edge facilities for medical homes, ambulatory facilities, and critical access hospitals.
