BACKGROUND:
Memorial Hermann wanted its southwest campus’ renowned cardiovascular services to become a Center of Excellence. The existing and multiple cardiovascular services were separated from one another with locations on multiple floors in the main hospital.
STRATEGY:
Memorial Hermann desired to consolidate all cardiovascular services into a single location. This new stand alone facility would provide growth area and improve efficiencies. FKP worked with the multiple stakeholders from the various cardiovascular services to tailor the facility to optimize collaboration among the specialties and provide the ultimate care experience.
TRANSFORMATION:
The center provides convenient “one stop” patient care for diagnostic, ambulatory and inpatient services and improved operational efficiencies in physician and nursing interaction, overall staffing and support services. Its bold, unique architectural features emphasize a new level of distinction and signify a strong commitment to the community.
