TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY
Cater-Mattil Hall Renovation
The mission of the Department of Nutrition and Food Science at Texas A&M University is to develop, distribute and market foods, investigate how foods and nutrients work in our bodies to promote health, and teach people to choose foods and lifestyles to help them be healthy.
To make room for the growing Department, FKP partnered with TAMU to renovate about 80 percent of the Cater-Mattil building while keeping four labs operational on the second floor. The first floor and most of the second floor was completely renovated, creating a lobby and image for the building. The time for this project was critical: programming started in September 2013 and users moved in June 2014.
