THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTER
Cancer Prevention Building
FKP programmed and design this 380,000 SF facility which focuses on cancer prevention, clinical screening and translational research. The building includes clinical spaces, offices, conference areas, material management systems for the campus, a bistro and a Behavioral Medicine Clinic containing clinical trial consult rooms and eight smoking cessation labs.
The CPB is part of the first phase of construction of a two million square foot campus that is connected to the main MD Anderson hospital via pedestrian bridges. The focus of the building is truly unique, incorporating consumer education, medical screening and clinical monitoring of pre-cancerous conditions, sophisticated modalities and space for health professionals.
