UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON-CLEAR LAKE
Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Building
In the fall of 2014, University of Houston-Clear Lake opened enrollment to freshmen and sophomore-level students. A progressive plan by the University established a strong demand for lower-level STEM courses, increasing matriculation into upper-level courses. The new 120,000 SF building will double the campus’s current science facilities and provide capabilities to better meet the instructional demands and research initiatives of students and faculty in the greater Houston region. When completed in the fall of 2018, the building will also provide general classrooms, a large lecture hall, a computer lab and active learning classrooms. Departmental administrative offices and support spaces are suited together for flexible assignments and to encourage collaboration.
